Engineer-in-training or Professional Engineer, Structural Design
Reporting to the Manager, Structural Engineering, an employee in this job will provide professional engineering services and support for the planning, co-ordination, design, construction, and rehabilitation of hydraulic structures with a specific focus on hydro-technical and structural analysis and design.
An employee in this position may expect duties such as, but not limited to, undertaking hydrotechnical and structural designs of moderate size and complexity; preparing project cost estimates and material and quantity schedules; preparing applicable engineering reports, technical documentation and drawings and where applicable, providing direction to engineering consultants hired to undertake this work; and liaise with electrical, mechanical, corrosion and other engineering discipline consultants to acquire needed engineering input to project designs, as well as with regulators, landowners and other stakeholders who hold a direct or indirect interest in project development.
The successful candidate shall possess a degree in Civil Engineering or a similar engineering discipline, a license to practice professional engineering from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
