Description

This position falls within the requirement for Personnel Risk Assessment to meet compliance requirements of NERC-CIP (North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection).  A Criminal Record Check must be valid and/or completed prior to being appointed to this position and then on a recurring basis every seven (7) years.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Support SaskPowers NERC CIP regulatory compliance program, which includes cybersecurity policy implementation, solution design and compliance monitoring.
Install, configure, maintain, and support the integrity of Hypervisor, Server, Network and Cybersecurity infrastructures and software.
Follow ITSM best practices in the operation of critical infrastructure systems.
Plan, research, develop, evaluate and implement processes, policies and procedures utilized for the development of strategies and business initiatives that address the organizations requirements
Act as a subject matter expert in a specialized function to develop, implement, coach and assist management staff in the administration and interpretation of corporate policies; providing advice that is appropriate, practical and consistent with relevant legislation, regulations, laws and/or industry standards

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or other related equivalent AND/OR;
Related professional designation(s) and/or certification(s) AND/OR;
Five (5) years of related information security experience
Demonstrated experience in the following technologies: Windows Servers, Active Directory, Linux Servers, Hypervisors, Networking and Cybersecurity.
Knowledge of automation tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
Career certifications in Windows, Linux, Networking are desirable.
Cybersecurity certifications are beneficial (CISSP, Security+, GIAC, etc)
