Job Summary & Duties included but not limited to:
- Assisting and reporting to the Administrator. - The Office assistant is responsible for the routine a administrative functioning of the RM of Tecumseh Office.
- Acting as the first point of contact between the public, councillors, vendors, businesses and other government officials.
- stocking and ordering office and pest control supplies
- composing, proofreading and editing correspondence and other internal and external documents
- making and receiving phone calls, answering questions
- making arrangements for conferences, meetings, training seminars, research, filing organizing, record keeping.
- preparing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, Municipal tax, assessment and bank deposits.
- understand and adhere to all RM of Tecumseh policies and procedures
The following would be considered assets:
- excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills and listening skills
- attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize work
- experience with cash transactions
- proficiency with computers including microsoft office (Word, Excel etc)
- Experience with office administration and secretarial/clerical duties

- experience with office filing systems
- motivated, self started with a desire for meeting and resolving challenges in a faced paced environment.
- experience with Munisoft, Paymate and Welltraxx programs is plus.
