The South Saskatchewan Community Foundation (SSCF) serves as a bridge between donors and charities across southern Saskatchewan. For over 50 years, SSCF donors have given back approximately $50 million to community causes leading to an immensely positive impact. The SSCF is a registered charity, public foundation and operates primarily as a pooled endowment with individual fund accounts which are invested and from which grants to charities are made.
The SSCF is currently looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a permanent, full-time Director, Finance and Administration. As the ideal candidate, you will have a passion for supporting local charitable organizations, a professional accounting designation (CPA), a minimum of 2 years experience in a senior level accounting and administration role, among other requirements. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for overseeing both corporate financial matters as well as the management of funds held by the Foundation on behalf of donors.
This position is seen as a centre of expertise with respect to financial issues and you will be relied upon to develop and recommend financial policy and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practice and general accounting principles. As a part of the SSCF team, you will support donors and organizations to help make a positive change in your community.
