CNC Operator
Department: Operations
Reports to: Project Manager
Full time
Job Summary: The CNC Operator is responsible for efficient setup and operation of CNC cutting machines as well as the operator related maintenance.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
    Basic understanding of G code and able to upload programming to ensure accuracy
    Efficiently operate and maintain tooling for CNC
    Ensure production schedule for machine is adhered to
    Must be able to meet production standards, quality expectations and production numbers
    Identify potential machine problem and soft root causes
    Report any programming /software issues immediately to supervisor and/or programmer
    Ensure machine is in optimal working condition at all times.
    Achieve efficient flow of materials into and out of the machine
    Follow the PM Schedule as defines by the manufacture
    Required to read and understand blueprints, measuring tools (Micrometer &Vernier caliper) & mechanical drawings
    Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area up to Company standards
    Will be required to operate a forklift from time to time
    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
    Post-secondary education in CNC or Engineering Technology
    Forklift operators certificate an asset, and will be required
    Minimum 2 years experience in setup and operation of CNC lathes and mills
    Tool & Die experience will be an asset
    Possess a valid drivers license
