Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:
- Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages.
- Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employers social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.
- Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures
- Process ROE Requests
- Keep track ofpayroll records
- Enterchanges in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, department /division transfers.
- Process payroll for employees across Canada and United States
Payroll SpecialistQualifications:
Must have at least 3 years of Canadian payroll processing experience
A diploma or a degree in Accounting, Business or Finance or equivalent
Previous experience processing US payroll would be considered an asset
Proficient with MS Office
Must have attention to detail and able to meet deadline
Canadian Payroll Association PCP certification would be considered an asset.
