Summer Student JobGraphic Ad is a locally owned graphics company, specializing in signage, decals and commercial printing. We have been operating in Humboldt since 1971 and are growing our online operations. Our work environment is deadline driven with extreme attention to detail. We want you to learn as much from this experience as you can, while contributing your unique skills to help the growth of an expanding e-commerce business.
We are seeking a full-time motivated Web Designer with an analytical mind to help us launch our e-commerce site.
What makes you a perfect candidate for this job?
At least 1+ year of experience with web technology including all of the following:
o Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS), specifically Wordpress
o Ability to write and edit existing HTML5 and CSS3 programming language
o An understanding of JavaScript and PHP is an asset
o Ability to use Photoshop and Illustrator as part of the Adobe Creative Suite to create web images
o An understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) as it relates to products, page layouts, and overall website performance
Ability to plan, implement, manage, monitor and complete upgrades to our website
Ability to respond to and troubleshoot all website issues.
Work along with our team to create appropriate website content aligned with our companys goals
Analyze and improve the User Experience
Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Web Development, or other relevant degree/diploma
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
Outstanding attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of the team
Responsible attitude, problem-solving and multitasking skills
