The Assistant Director will work collaboratively with the Director of Child Care Services in the delivery and management of a high quality and integrated early learning program while maintaining Indigenous traditions, values, and beliefs.
This position will share the responsibility of engaging a comprehensive strategy and implementation of family and community initiatives. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and committed to the philosophy, mission, and vision of the Paminwasowin Child Care Centre.
The Assistant Director will promote the Centre by making children and families feel welcome and conduct tours for potential clients and the community and enroll new families.
The successful candidate will provide administrative expertise in staff scheduling and support in staff performance, collect childcare fees, assist in phone inquiries and contacts parents if issues arise with their child at the Centre, providing overall strong planning and organizational skills in a confidential environment.
Successful candidates will possess a diploma in Early Childhood Education and a current First Aid/CPR certificate. Additionally, a Safe Food Handlers course will be required. A minimum of 5 years experience in childcare, including 2 years in management. The Floor Supervisor will be knowledgeable of the Saskatchewan Child Care Regulations and have a current criminal record check with the vulnerable sector. A valid class 5 drivers license is an asset.
