Description

The File Hills QuAppelle Tribal Council is a non-profit organization that provides a range of programs and services to 11 First Nations throughout Southern Saskatchewan within the Treaty Four Territory.  The position will work as part of the All Nations Healing Hospital and Health Services team, based at the All Nations Healing Hospital located in Fort QuAppelle, SK.  

Reporting to the Executive Director and/or designate, the Human Resource Officer will assist in the provision of human resource services including; employee relations, labour relations, and implementation of policies and programs to meet the needs of the organization. This position will coordinate All Nations Healing Hospital payroll and benefits ensuring the administrative responsibilities regarding pension plans, group life insurance, dental, health and disability plans are met. This position will also assist with internal and external staffing processes while adhering to union collective agreements and FHQTC policies.

Qualifications:
    Diploma in Administration/Human Resources and three years experience working in a health care setting
    Knowledge and experience in the interpretation of collective agreements
    Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations payroll and benefits system required
    Knowledge of employment legislation
    Understanding of Human Resource functions
    Experience with an electronic Human Resource Management System
    Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships and to work in a multidisciplinary team based working environment
    Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communications, research, analytical and writing skills
    Knowledge and experience in working with First Nations people, culture and traditions
    Valid class 5 drivers license
    Criminal & Vulnerable Sector check required

Hours of Work:     Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (7.5 hrs./day)
