Eden Care Communities is looking for a dynamic leader to fill the position of Support Services Manager for Broadway Terrace, 123 suite independent living seniors complex. Broadway Terrace offers our Residents meals, weekly housekeeping, recreation, spiritual and limited medical care.
The Manager of Support Services will be directly responsible for the day to day operations of food services, housekeeping, laundry, caretaking and maintenance. Duties will include scheduling, training, coaching, ordering supplies, maintaining quality control and food and labour costs. In addition to your operational duties you will be the first point of contact for our Residents, suppliers and the outside community. You will also assist the Executive Director with sales, marketing, budgeting and report generation.
The ideal candidate has previous management experience in hotels or senior living environment with a working knowledge of food services and housekeeping. This is a hands on position for a professional manager.
Qualifications:
* Managerial or supervisory experience required
* Experience in food services is required
* Ability to work with and establish good relations with Residents, employees, partners, suppliers and outside agencies and organizations
* Exceptional organizational and communication skills
* Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
* Post secondary education in a related field is an asset
* Although this is primarily regular business hours position, you must be flexible at certain times
* Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position: walking, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and kneeling
* Valid Saskatchewan drivers licence and a satisfactory criminal record check is required.
