Reporting to the Justice Director, the Community Justice Coordinator assists and supports community-based restorative justice programming with the member First Nations. The successful candidate will work directly with the diverse group of Justice Workers and their Justice Committees, Portfolio Councilors and Chiefs to develop and implement restorative justice initiatives and assist with capacity development.
Include but are not limited to:
-Provide support, guidance and capacity development to the participating First Nations- including extensive travel to all of the Communities;
-Assist each First Nation in meeting yearly objectives and requirements;
-Serve as a liaison between the STC First Nations, Saskatchewan Ministry of Justice, Justice Canada, Crown Prosecutors, Defence Lawyers, R.C.M.P., Victim Support, Addictions, Mental Health, the Indian Justice Council of Saskatchewan, the STC CEO/COO.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-Human Justice, Sociology or Social Work Degree;
-Minimum of three years experience in a related position/field.
