Based out of Saskatoon, the Special Projects Team Lead will be responsible for leading a small team in repairs, renovations and improvements to our multi-unit residential buildings and sites. This work will include building and/or improving a variety of components on fully-occupied apartment and townhome sites.
The Team Lead must have a good working knowledge of the residential construction industry and uphold tenant and staff safety while performing all aspects of the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the day to day work activities of the crew
-Oversee the execution of the work, including quality and production, by ensuring crews work to job specifications
-Monitor the use of materials and resources to ensure operations are within budget
-Set and maintain work standards and outline behavioral expectations to ensure crew morale and productivity
-Recognize, address, resolve issues or problems among crew
-Work with the Supervisor on all field aspects of the project budget, schedule, and productivity
-Provide hands-on assistance and guidance on all construction and renovation projects
REQUIREMENTS
-Minimum 5 years experience in residential wood frame construction
-Minimum 3 years' supervisory or team lead experience
-Journeyperson Carpentry certification an asset
-Knowledgeable in reading and understanding construction plans
-Demonstrated ability in carpentry and building maintenance
-Strong communication skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions
-Willing and able to travel
