Facility: Nurses Alumni Wing
Job Description: As a member of Youth Mental Health & Addiction Services, the Community Mental Health Nurse is an integral member of the Child &Youth Community Recovery Team. This position supports youth in the residential facilities such as  EGADZ and works with psychiatrists and other mental health and addiction professionals to promote youth recovery and stabilization.  Responsibilities include the use of assessment tools, screening, crisis intervention, medical case management, medication administration, health teaching and navigating health care services.
Required Qualifications

Current CPR and PART certification
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS)
Experience
Requires a minimum of two years (postgraduate) recent recognized experience in a community or acute mental health setting working with youth and their families presenting with acute and chronic mental health problems  
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced interpersonal skills
Understanding of health promotion and health prevention initiatives in mental health
Requires initiative and judgment to plan, implement and modify treatment programs according to needs of individual clients
Ability to chart on EMR and the Mental Health and Additions Information system with accuracy
Current knowledge of mental health, mental illness, substance abuse issues in adolescents in a variety of settings.
Posses sound working knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act, The Youth Drug Detoxification and Stabilization Act, The Child
