Description

The Saskatoon Housing Authority is currently seeking a full time, in-scope, building caretaker.  The successful candidate will be responsible for high standard of cleanliness & maintenance of the property in their care.  Staff are required to deal directly and respectfully with tenants, staff and contractors.

DUTIES:
. Keep the building, grounds and sidewalks (including snow removal) clean and safe & arrange for parking lot cleaning with maintenance staff.
. Show units to new & potential tenants
. Assist in vacancy preparation by monitoring contractors
. Perform annual maintenance inspections on all units
. Perform move in/move out inspections
. Provide orientation for new tenants
. Perform minor repairs, as required
. Must have your own tools
. Maintain positive public relations with tenants, contractors, SHA staff & the public

QUALIFICATIONS

. Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
. up to 2 years experience in general maintenance & cleaning
. ability to communicate effectively; written and verbal
. integrity & strong work ethics are highly valued

The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal background check & pass a minimal work related fitness test (professionally administered).  This is an in-scope position, compensated with an annual salary & benefits package.  Core work hours are M-F 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (36.25 hour work week).
