POSITION OVERVIEW
Provides high quality customer service through activities such as installation, analysis, repair, and maintenance of equipment in the transport, IP core and access, digital switch, wireless, and networks. Partners and interacts with internal and external customers to ensure quality service. Performs miscellaneous related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Computer Science OR Diploma/Certificate in Electronics/Computer Engineering Technology/Computer Science OR Level 30 Math with 3 years experience in technical support of networks, servers or server based applications OR Level 30 Math with 3 years experience Band 6 or higher
Working knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
a)Installation, maintenance and repair of current data transmission equipment and LAN/WAN technology
b)IP and related IP applications
c)Wireless technologies
d)Voice technologies and related services
e)Video technologies
OR
Basic Electricity, Electronics and Transmission (for positions in locations other than Regina and/or Saskatoon)
Working knowledge of Network protocols
Working knowledge of personal computers and various software applications. (Standard corporate build)
Good communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with customers
Demonstrated good analytical and problem solving skills
Valid Driver's license
