The life of a SARCAN Equipment Operator:
Each and every SARCAN team member is an important part of our community. As an Equipment Operator you:
Operate equipment that includes but is not limited to:
o The glass shack
o Metal or plastics baler
o Forklift
o Sort belt
Operate front-end loader, if certified and fully trained, on an as needed basis.
Assist with trailer unloading duties when necessary
Assist with general clean up and maintenance duties
Attend training and workshops as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills you should have to perform this role:
To be successful as an Equipment Operator at SARCAN, you will need:
A class 5 drivers license
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Amazing customer service skills
The ability to do physical work
To be dependable and reliable
Forklift certification to operate the forklift and front-end loader
To work in a safe and timely manner is essential
To provide a satisfactory criminal record check as a condition of employment
To be able to stand for long periods of time
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
