Chianti Cafe is looking for an experienced cook to join our team. We are working forward to upgrade our menu and thus looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic individual with at least 2 years' experience in the food industry. Job duties include but not limited to :
- Your Duties and Responsibilities:
Cooking of Vietnamese and Canadian dishes and some Italian dishes on menu per Customer Order
Clean, cut and marinate meat, fish and chicken
Using different methods of cooking such as frying, steaming, boiling and roasting
Maintain Inventory and ordering food and kitchen items
Ensuring stock is rotated, checked and stored correctly
Regulate temperatures of ovens and other cooking equipment
Setup and Maintain Buffet
Training of other interested kitchen staff
Clean and properly maintain kitchen and work area
Daily prep work
Assist chef with new dishes
Maintain outstanding working relationship with staffs and guests
Follow Saskatchewan Health standards
Being able to communicate in Vietnamese is highly desirable
Possess background and knowledge in Vietnamese cuisine is highly desirable
Obtain related experience in luxury hotel and restaurant is highly desirable
Benefits and Hours of Work:
You will work five days per week for a total of 40 hours per week; 40 hours may be extended and/or distributed to 6 days a week
You will be allowed 6% vacation pay;
Free Meals;
For any overtime after 40 hours, you will be paid 1.5 times of your hourly rate;
As per Saskatchewan Labour Standards, you will be entitled to Statutory holidays;
Your working days and hours during the week will be flexible depending on your shift;
