Ag-Quest, Inc., a leader in contract research
services for the agricultural industry since 1983, requires several individuals to assist in conducting field research trials based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting a Research Associate with all aspects of conducting efficacy, variety and environmental fate field trials. This includes, but is not limited to, operating plot equipment, locating suitable trial sites, planting and maintaining the crop, applying test item and collecting samples,
as well as carefully documenting each phase of the study. These trials will be conducted on field crops common to the region. The individual will be part of the team at the Saskatoon research station, cooperating with other researchers and technicians to ensure all phases of the work are completed successfully. Communication skills, both written and oral, are essential in relating to clients and co-workers. Extended work hours will be required during peak seasons. Local travel around central Saskatchewan is required.
Requirements:
- first, second, third or fourth year post secondary students in college of Agriculture or other related fields
- Agricultural experience would be an asset, especially small plot research.
- Good communication skills.
-valid class 5 driver's licence and vehicle to get to and from our research facility 5 miles out of Saskatoon.
