Description

JA Tech is a provider of service for all equipment and components of an overhead crane and hoist system.  We are currently recruiting for an Overhead Crane Technician for our Overhead Crane & Hoist division.  We are an equal opportunity employer that is committed to strengthening our company through inclusion & diversity.

Compensation Package
-Wage-above industry standard

Duties & Responsibilities
-Perform electrical & mechanical inspections on most makes of cranes/hoists
-Troubleshooting to determine faults & malfunctions
-Repair/replace various parts/components
-Testing of electric circuits/motors/components
-Wiring of electrical circuits and devices
-Perform required maintenance/adjustments
-Complete required paperwork including timesheets, reports, or safety
-Recognize potential service opportunities & forward appropriately with detail
-Conduct work in a manner prescribed by JA Techs Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Manual

Skills & Qualifications
-Minimum 2000 hours overhead crane experience
-Applicable Red Seal Qualification (i.e. Millwright, Electrician, etc.)
-Strong interpersonal, communication & problem solving skills
-Strong understanding of applicable crane regulations
-Strong mechanical skills/aptitude
-Flexibility to adjust to breakdown calls/after-hours work/out-of-town projects
-Valid Drivers Licence
-Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
