Western Alfalfa Milling Co Ltd (WAMCO) is currently accepting applications for the position of Research/Market Development/Logistics Coordinator/Manager

WAMCO is a family run business, with large scale farming and alfalfa production and processing. Located near the town of Norquay, the area is known for affordable housing and rural lifestyle, surrounded by 4 seasons of recreation with fishing, camping, hunting, and winter sports (yes, there are 2 ski hills nearby).

This hands-on position varies greatly with the seasons, so no risk of job fatigue.  

Duties include:
1.Market development
  Contribute to Market and product development for expanding uses of alfalfa into the organic/all natural Home, Pro, and Farm Pro fertilizer markets
  Contribute to company website with updates and/or blog pertaining to research results
  Take part in tradeshows and conferences (when safe to do so) by presenting research and trial results
2. Research
  Planning and execution of research projects with Universities and others on field trials focusing on all aspects of soil fertility, reclamation & remediation
  Access Gov't programs pertaining to carbon sequestration and green environmental projects
3. Logistics
  Coordinate with Sales Team to ensure logistics run smoothly for shipping and receiving
  Maintain and develop organic programs, including Organic production and processing, documentation and licensing
  Manage rail movements for grain and alfalfa products, including customs and border requirements
  Coordinate and track grain movements pertaining to Grain terminal operations for 3rd party transloading
