The successful applicant will be responsible for the instruction of Employability Skills - EMPL 180 and Interpersonal Communications - COMM 291 in the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Disability Support Worker Certificate program. Preparation time is calculated based on the amount of theory delivered and is included in the approved days. Responsibilities include lesson planning, developing and delivering practical and theoretical instruction, evaluating student performance, and providing reports as required. EMPL 180 will be instructed during the 1st term (August 30th-December 17th, 2021) and COMM 291 will be instructed in the 2nd term (January 4th-March 25th, 2022); exact dates will be determined in consultation with the lead instructor and program coordinator.
Required Qualifications:
- Master of Communication or Master of Arts (English or Communications) degree, or equivalent graduate degree is preferred; however, a 4 year Bachelor of Communications or Bachelor of Arts (English or Communications major), or Bachelor of Education (English or Communications major), or equivalent combination of education which includes a degree with a major in the appropriate subject area and a completed thesis or equivalent research/writing project may also be accepted.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check will be required.
