Working with the Chair, ABE & Essential Skills and the ABE Coordinator, develop a curriculum that can be used to instruct a pre-employment carpentry program that encompasses, workplace and tool safety, basic tool use, measurement math, carpentry basics such as basic woodworking projects, working from basic plans. Participants in course developed should be competent to work as construction labour with limited supervision. The curriculum should include a checklist of skills developed during the program that correlates to reasonable expectations of employers.
Required Qualifications:
- Related University degree or combination of post-secondary training and direct experience, such as journeyman Carpentry designation.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check will be required.
