Description

The Metis Addictions Council  of Saskatchewan Inc., better known as MACSI, is a non-profit corporation providing alcohol and drug services and counselling programs to Saskatchewan residents, with locations in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and Regina.
MACSI Human Resource Director has primary responsibility for developing and maintaining MACSIs human resource management system.  This person is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and control of the human resources management function by supervising of staff, policies and procedures and the day to day, Human Resource support in all MACSI Centres. They will directly work under the supervision of the  MACSI Executive Director. The Human Resource Director works alongside with other MACSI directors and Regional Managers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a certificate or degree in Human Resources with a minimum of three (3) years experience working in human resources OR has a minimum of 5 years experience in human resources and personnel with in-depth training on the job
Experience with Ceridian Payroll service and Dayforce time management will be considered an asset;
Perform performance evaluations for in-scope and out-of-scope staff members
Experience in labour relations, union negotiations and workplace investigations
Full-cycle recruitment and onboarding
Experience in policy development and execution
Management and staff coaching on internal policies and procedures
Intensive knowledge of labour laws
Experience in training and development and training facilitation
Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills;
Sound knowledge of payroll software and the maintenance of personnel files
Excellent knowledge of Metis and First Nations communities and cultures as well as traditional healing approaches;
Provide a current CPIC and Enhanced Security Clearance;
Hold a valid drivers license and ability to travel
