Job Description: The clinical supervisor will provide clinical supervision and program leadership to the Saskatchewan Health Authoritys Mental Health and Addictions teams in North East networks 1 and 2.  This will include teams in Creighton, Sandy Bay as well as to team members in La Ronge, Pinehouse and Stanley Mission.  The incumbent will work in partnership with the other designated clinical supervisor to share the clinical supervisory responsibilities.  The incumbent will be responsible for program development and mentorship and develop positive working relationships with internal and external mental health and addiction agencies.  The Clinical supervisor will also provide counselling services to clientele in these networks.

Qualifications:
A Masters Degree in Social Work with extensive course work in clinical mental health services, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of post secondary education and experience.


Experience:
    A minimum of three years of clinical experience working in community mental health services.
    A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a community mental health setting.
    A minimum of two years of experience working with Indigenous clientele.
    A minimum of two years of experience working within isolated and rural communities with limited access to resources.  

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Knowledge of various supervisory approaches and ability to coach and mentor staff.
    Knowledge of the Mental Health act /regulations and relevant Criminal Code statutes
    Knowledge of major mental health issues/disorders including anger, depression, abuse, suicide ,PTSD ,substance abuse and dependency etc
    Knowledge of diagnostic systems and  approaches (DSM IV)
    Knowledge of MHAIS and BON System is required
    Knowledge of various treatment/c
