The Youth Care Leader (YCL) is responsible to provide on-line decision making and leadership in the provision of direct care and supervision of the residents. The YCL works with the Youth Care Workers to provide for the youths emotional and physical needs through the provision of basic parenting duties, therapeutic interventions, and a safe, nurturing, structured environment. The YCL is directly responsible to the Program Manager.
Responsibilities to take a leadership role in the development of therapeutic activities for the residents and in the management of the resident behavior through therapeutic interventions in accordance with agency philosophy and policies.
2.To provide on-line orientation, support, and guidance to Youth Care Workers in the day-to-day provision of care and supervision to residents.
3.To provide supervision to residents and implement daily therapeutic activity plans and daily routines.

Qualifications:
The Youth Care Leader will have a combination of education and experience related to working with youth and a minimum of one year experience in the provision of residential services to youth. The YCL will possess strong leadership and teamwork skills as well as personal attributes that facilitate the development of trusting and caring relationships with youth. Knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions, and beliefs is an asset,Criminal Record Check, and valid class 5 drivers license are required.
