Assist in planning and implementation of summer programs, including working with children and youth, facilitating recreational programming, providing transportation, and fundraising as designated. Qualifications: Shall be 16 years of age or older and currently a full time student plus will need to be attending secondary or post secondary education in the fall of 2021 preferably in the field of the Human Sciences, Education, Child and Youth Worker, Recreation and Leisure, Physical Education, or Kinesiology.
Knowledge and Required Skills:
Preference will be given to those with:
- Experience working with children and youth
- Knowledge and/or experience in recreation programming and program development.
-Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
- High Five training
- Valid drivers license and good driver's abstract
- Knowledge and experience with word processing and excel an asset
-Good oral and written communication skills
-Be available to work some weekends and flexible hours
-Be able to follow direction
-Have the ability to work in an unsupervised setting
-Highly motivated and energetic
Training will be provided: Includes program development,fund development and facilitation training.
