As one of Canada's leading manufacturer's of fire-retardant garments, Actionwear Saskatoon Inc. is proud to be serving the mining, oil and gas, construction, forestry, and electrical industries for over 47 years. Actionwear has a full-time career opportunity for a Productions Assistant in the fabric cutting department.
The ideal candidate would be a person with integrity, who is dependable, energetic, physically fit, self-motivated, have attention to detail, have great organizational skills and be a quick learner.
Duties will include:
Receive fabrics and organize fabrics within the warehouse
Spread rolls of fabric onto a table for cutting
Assist with manual cutting of materials, as needed
Other tasks as needed
Training and support will be provided. No experience is necessary
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to speak, read, and write in English
Ability to perform computations
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Frequent standing, bending & stretching with legs, shoulders, and back
Frequent pushing and walking
