Description

Provide specialized cattle care. Establish feeding ratios to cow herd and background lot. Establish pasture rotation and oversee the timetable for these rotations. Oversee breeding. Calving cows, heard health management and treatment. Supervise seasonal workers during silaging, seeding and harvest, assisting the crew as needed. Maintain records. Oversee seeding, planting, cultivating, spraying and harvesting operations. Operate heavy machinery. Other farm duties as required.  
Working Hours: 40-55 hours per week, varying schedule and may be required to work evenings, weekends and extended hours.
Wage: $21.00
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: physically demanding; attention to detail; combination of sitting, standing, walking; outside work; rural area.

Education Requirement: No Formal Requirement
Experience Requirement: 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Equipment and Machinery Experience: valid drivers licence, ability to operate farm machinery, including heavy equipment, cattle handling skills.
