WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LAWYER WITH EXPERIENCE IN FAMILY & CRIMINAL LAW FOR OUR SWIFT CURRENT AREA OFFICE.

Reporting to the Legal Director, some of the key responsibilities of the Lawyer are:
- Conduct of assigned files to professional standards and in accordance with the policies and procedures of Legal Aid Saskatchewan & the Law Society of Saskatchewan
- Negotiate competent resolutions of files to achieve fair, early and lasting outcomes for clients
- Work independently on cases as assigned by the Legal Director
- Complete and accurate time entry and record keeping

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 plus years of experience in criminal and family law
- Law degree from a recognized law school
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Saskatchewan
- Technologically savvy with a keen enthusiasm for learning new systems including, computer literacy in MS Office, web-based legal research tools, and other web-based resources
- Commitment to social justice and an understanding of the needs and challenges faced by low-income and marginalized communities
- Demonstrated time management and ability to deal with conflicting priorities and deadlines

COMPENSATION:
- The salary range for the position is $81,338 to $146,801 per annum, based on experience
- The incumbent is entitled to 6 weeks off per annum (vacation plus EDOs) and 13 Statutory Holidays
