Position Description:
Horizon Manufacturing makes the worlds best super-premium pet foods in our state-of-the-art production facility located in Rosthern, SK. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual that is highly motivated, a good problem solver and has a high level of attention to detail. The successful candidate will join our Extrusion Team that is responsible for cooking the food for all of our furry friends. This role has a lot of responsibility, but also is very rewarding.

Horizon Manufacturing Inc. produces Monday to Thursday, leaving Fridays for plant wide sanitation day. The scheduled shift is Monday to Friday, 7 am - 3 pm. Shifts may change or overtime may be required to meet production requirements.

Experience and Education:
Experience in any of the below fields is an asset, but not a requirement:
Experience in manufacturing, especially consumer-packaged goods
Experience working with a food safety system like HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000
Working within a fast-paced environment
Mechanical aptitude and problem solving
Other previous training like: First Aid, Fall Protection, WHMIS, Confined Space, Forklift Operator Certificate

Skills:
Class 5 drivers license and reliable transportation are required
Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely
A self starter, with excellent time management skills
Detail-oriented
Critical and/or systems thinker
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
An unrelenting commitment to quality control and cleanliness
Have the ability to track and note production data
Technological proficient
