Description

As a working Shop Foreman, you lead by example by working with both the Service Manager and the Service Technicians. You assist in coordinating and directing the workload of the Service Department for maximum efficiency and productivity while providing quality work yourself. You mentor apprentices and other technicians while working as a Senior Technician and provide input on their skills and training needs.
Qualifications:
3+ yrs experience as a Service Technician in an Agriculture dealership
Minimum 1-yr experience as a Journeyperson
Familiar with using Service Advisor and servicing John Deere agriculture equipment preferred
Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office
Agriculture Equipment Technician certificate a strong asset
Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
Forklift license preferred
Responsibilities:
Liaison between the Service Manager and the technicians to communicate assignment of jobs and work area; providing feedback on performance as necessary
Conducting regular meetings with shop staff and fill in for the Service Manager as required
Direct contact with customers on the status of repairs
Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment
Completes set-up and pre-delivery inspections of all types of equipment offered for sale by the dealership
Assists in the appraisal and estimate of repairs, direct and assist in the diagnosis of machines and participates in conducting the work as time and work allows
Completes or reviews paperwork for accuracy and completeness and may inspect and approve the release of equipment
