DCG is adding an Associate to our team. We are requiring a key support person to fill the position.
The candidate should possess the following key competencies:
    superior written communication skills are a must:
o    experience in or willingness to learn the art of writing and communications for fundraising
o    skilfulness in researching and composing a variety of written communications and documents
o    proficiency in copywriting, proofing, and editing
o    familiarity with proposal and grant application writing is an asset
o    dedication to and a keen eye for detail
    exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
    commitment to secure, protect, and handle sensitive and confidential information
    flexibility and adeptness to prioritize and to move from project to project as required
    aptitude to undertake work independently, manage time, set priorities, and problem solve
    efficiency with technology including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Adobe Acrobat; online research; adeptness in learning new programs (ETapestry)
    passionate enthusiasm to make a difference
    willingness to learn--and to have fun in a supportive team environment

Responsibilities of the position:
    research, write, edit and/or format a variety of documents such as case for support documents, feasibility study findings, volunteer training manuals, board reports, proposals and/or grant applications
    oversee and conduct short-term projects such as feasibility studies, readiness reviews, fund development or sponsorship program development
    research, organize and/or analyse information
    produce plans and resources for annual appeals, legacy/planning giving programs, sponsorship activities and integrated fund development programs
    create PowerPoint presentations to support client acquisition
    assist with media relations including preparing and distributing news releases
    assume other duties as assigned
