Description

General Accountability
Responsible for attracting and retaining long-term donors for capital improvements, UNESCO support and operational fundraising.
Responsible for the attraction of new funding through donations, sponsorship and grants
Responsible to strategically create and implement fundraising programs, planned giving, and targeted giving programs.    
Retention and stewardship of existing and expanding donor base
Responsible to report on use of funds, grant writing, donor communications, in a timely basis that informs donors and grantors of progress and achievements.
Responsible for creation, management of Wanuskewin development activities and programs, that contribute towards the organizations bottom line and revenue generation.  
Maintains accurate documentation and usage of donor management tools.  Maintains confidentiality and adheres to the donor bill of rights.
Works with CEO and senior staff to provide support on UNESCO and government relation activities.
Administration of invoicing, reporting and follow up.   Maintains accurate documentation and usage of donor management tools.  
-other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-3-5 years experience in a development and/or fundraising capacity.  UNESCO and/or with government relations would be considered an asset.
-A degree in a related field.
-Knowledge of philanthropic environment, UNESCO, and government relations
-Knowledge of Plains Indian Indigenous cultures.
-Demonstrated skills with development, fundraising and donor management.
-Concise, accurate and persuasive writing and speaking
-Demonstrated skill with presentations.
