Description

The Mill Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible to lead and supervise our mill maintenance team. The incumbent will be responsible for training, mentoring, delegation of work and guidance to this team with the intent of creating a high-performance team (inspired, goal-focused, accountable).

General Responsibilities
Provide required administrative duties for staff supervision
Provide scheduling input with Maintenance Coordinator
Coordinate with Central Purchasing to manage parts inventory
Establish and maintain relationships with contract service providers
Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
Execute Maintenance and repair service to feed mills
Auditing preventative maintenance program and participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives
Work with Facilities Projects team to develop and implement project plans
Participate in the execution of project plans for the replacement and/or installation of feed mill equipment
Reading and understanding blueprints and installation manuals
Ensure that all work is of high quality and meets code and professional standards
Ensure that all work is done in a safe manner
Adhere to all Biosecurity protocols, where applicable
Support planning activities for budgeting priority, parts inventory and tool purchases
Participate in regularly scheduled facilities team meetings
Other related duties

Education/Experience Required
Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
Millwright certification is an asset but not required.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Experience working in and around mills and or commodity handling facilities
Maintenance experience
Effective oral, written communication skills and ability to work independently
A valid drivers license
