Description

The Gloria Jeans house program is an in-home support program that works with families that are experiencing a wide range of issues. Support workers assist by creating customized case plans with the families and their child protection workers to ensure that the child/ren can be reunified.  Support workers model, demonstrate and teach basic life skills and connect families with formal supports in the community.
We work directly with the ministry of social services as a partner for this program so it will be expected that the program coordinator with have knowledge of the child protection system and have a strong foundation of duty to report expectations.
As a program coordinator you will be responsible for:
-completing intakes and managing the waitlists for the program
-providing ongoing support to support staff. Ensuring the case notes and case plans are up to date. Ensuring that monthly reports are completed and submitted on time.
-Day to day support, problem solving and ensuring quality and consistency of program delivery.
-Liaising with front line staff and supervisors at the ministry of social services.
-completing monthly staff calendars and petty spread sheets.
Requirements:
-Post-secondary training and/or experience working with agencies that support families and children.
-Current First Aid and CPR.
-Knowledge and experience working with families who have experienced trauma, addictions, emotional and mental challenges.
-Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture and historical trauma.
-Conflict resolution skills.
-Computer skills and report writing.
-Drivers license and appropriate insurance coverage to transport families.
-Criminal record check including vulnerable sector check required upon hire.
