Job Summary:
As instructed by Dispatch, travel to customer site; load cargo using bed truck, ensure cargo is secure.
Travel to customer drop off site either independently or accompanied by various Pilot Trucks and / or Push Trucks as instructed by Dispatcher / Field Supervisor; upon arrival at site, unload bed truck.
Follow directions from Swamper hand signals when positioning the cargo into desired end location.
Tear out and rig up of drilling rigs.
Assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures and Job Safety Analysis.
Complete required Ryker and Customer required courses including participating in safety program.
Accurately complete all necessary paperwork for Timesheet submission as well as Field Tickets.
Provide mentorship in the operation of the bed truck to new drivers when required.
Perform other duties as required including various administrative tasks.
Work is performed across West-Central Saskatchewan & East-Central Alberta, however is not limited to these areas. Transporting jobs can occur 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, under all weather conditions. Hours worked and operation standards are outlined and governed by the Traffic Safety Act and federal standards for trucking.
Qualifications:
3 5 years experience operating a bed truck
Minimum 5 years experience transporting heavy haul items
Valid H2S
First Aid
Class 1 Licence
Incident free 5-year commercial abstract
Mechanically inclined
Previous experience with ELog systems is preferred.
