Sun West School Division invites applications for a 0.50 F.T.E. Temporary Addictions Educator on the Student Services team, for the 2021/22 school year. The successful applicant will be responsible to the Superintendent of Student Support Services and will provide addictions education services to students and support for school programming in schools within the division.
The individual in this position will:
?assist classroom teachers in developing appropriate classroom programming for students in the area of prevention.
?provide workshops and in-service in area of expertise to teachers when requested.
The successful applicant will possess a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or a related field and/or a combination of education and school counselling experience. Training and/or experience with addiction education would be considered an asset.
