Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking application developers to join our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Team. In this position you will enhance and support the delivery of academic programs by providing administrative systems that enable students, faculty and staff to do their best work and feel engaged, supported, and part of the Saskatchewan Polytechnic family. As a member of the ERP team, you will work closely with functional users and other technical experts to enhance and sustain the Ellucian banner system and related technologies. You will enable efficient and seamless business processes and develop innovative programming and application solutions to unique business problems. As a team member, you will collaborate and communicate with clients and team members to understand business challenges and opportunities. You will provide technical guidance, direction and instruction as required, enabling solutions with strong business value. Technical skills working with SQL, Oracle, and development using 3rd and 4th generation programming languages such as C, COBOL, Java, Perl and PL/SQL as well as web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are needed for this role. Under the direction of a Team Lead, you will:
Enhance, maintain and support Saskatchewan Polytechnics ERP System (Ellucian Banner)
Independently troubleshoot, analyze, scope, design, test and implement solutions to complex business, application code and data problems
Design, develop, maintain and support web and mobile applications
Design and conduct unit, functional and integration testing for new and enhanced applications
Interpret, document, and present information in a manner easily understandable by management, clients and colleagues
Participate in projects and initiatives in advisory and technical expert roles
Maintain a high level of education, knowledge and expertise in application development and programming technologies
