This position is responsible for providing technical, research, analytical and information gathering to the Womens Secretariat. This includes written documentation for briefings, updates, planning support and can include resource materials for legislation and policy. This position collaborates with the Cameco Chair and the Indigenous Wellness Research Group (IWRG) at the University of Saskatchewan by contributing to research initiatives directly, as well as foster high-impact Indigenous engagement and partnership.
Employees in this classification use a comprehensive research process, with the major focus on qualitative, quantitative and/or mixed-methods analysis. This role may include supervisory responsibilities of assistants involved in the project as needed. The research of the Researcher/Analyst III results in forming the basis for the development or modification of policies and/or programs. This position requires a high degree of initiative and professional judgement to ensure that proposals developed receive the cooperation and acceptance by First Nations and/or government.
QUALIFICATIONS: A professional degree in an appropriate area of social or health sciences is required. Consideration will be given to individuals with equivalent qualifications and experience. A proven track-record with research activities is essential. A minimum of seven (7) years with demonstrated productivity and contributions to the research environment inclusive of teaching, proposal writing and manuscript writing. Experience working in and contributing to diverse and inclusive environments is required.
Salary is based on an established grid and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
