Innovative Teaching and Learning Consultant/Data Analyst

Northern Lights School Division #113 requires a continuing Innovative Teaching and Learning Consultant/Data Analyst to work throughout the division. Innovative teaching allows students to learn through collaboration within a constructivist and student-centered environment. The student's future requires modern authentic learning, where divergent thought processes and incorporation of personal passions lend themselves to a greater understanding of the curricula. Through application and experimentation with innovative pedagogies, 21st century tools, and course and lesson design principals, educators can continue to grow and transform their classrooms for the benefit of their students.

The successful candidate must have:

-    a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate
-    substantial teaching experience with First Nations and Metis students
-    a commitment to Student First, by capitalizing on teachers strengths in order to provide culturally relevant and empowering instruction while striving to achieve higher levels of engagement in learning
-    an in depth understanding of and experience with educational and informational technology
-    experience with modern media platforms and creation tools with the capacity to leverage these tools to highlight student learning in an effort to build school community partnerships
-    an understanding of data and its many applications within education, ethical use and reporting of data to various stakeholders within the division for planning, goal review and analysis purposes
-    a robust personal learning network which they are willing to leverage for the benefit of the division
