Description

The Kinistin Saulteaux Nation is seeking a highly motivated individual responsible for the position of Full Time Kisawisowin Prevention Manager to oversee program design, development and implementation of the Kinistin Saulteaux Kisawisowin Prevention Framework including management of the team, services and strategic implementation development. The framework is designed under the principles of traditional methods and adapting these to meet the needs of contemporary society. The Manager will work closely with key stakeholders in the community including other Department Managers, Directors and Leadership from Kinistin Saulteaux Nation, as well as the Saskatoon Tribal Council to use and incorporate best practices and ensure a seamless process where no children or families fall through the gaps.

Administration of the framework will be accomplished through Kinistin Saulteaux Nations four pillars including:
    Operations
    Prevention In-community
    Land based learning
    Reunification activities

Critical to the position is an understanding of the Nakawe values and traditions. Be able to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with co-workers and community members at all levels in order to achieve common goals in the areas of healthy child parenting, recognizing child abuse, neglect and familiarizing community members with the true Nakawe way of Child rearing and the value we place on our children, Our Future Leaders!
