Description

Loraas Environmental Services is seeking an individual to join its landfill crew. This contract position will run until October 29th, 2021, and hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm with potential Saturday shifts.
Duties & Responsibilities:  
    A variety of labour and equipment operation duties, including yard maintenance (mowing with various equipment, cleaning up wind-blown litter, etc.) and baling of recyclable materials.
    Scaling trucks in and out and some computer/email duties.
    Operate landfill equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Cross training on Recycle equipment will be provided.
    Loading trailers and quality control for Recycle products.
    Travel will be required to and from Landfill.
    Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
    Previous forklift experience an asset
    Farm background considered an asset
    Must be in good physical condition
    Ability to multi-task
    Ability to work with little or no supervision
    Ability to work in a team environment
    Experience operating equipment is considered an asset
    Valid class 5 license with clean drivers abstract as well as own reliable transportation to and from facilities.
    Criminal Record Check required.
    As a condition of employment, all new employees to safety sensitive positions must successfully pass a substance test within a two week period of their hiring date. A criminal record check will also be required.
