Job Description: The Regional Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) develops speech language therapy plans for clients, guides and supports them and/or their caregivers in the implementation of these plans, and monitors client progress thereafter.  The SLP works with, and provides support, resources, tools and referrals for, clients who have speech language delays or disorders, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  Clients of the SLP are infants, preschool age children, and adults who have a speech language delay or disorder and/or who are suspected of having or have been diagnosed with ASD.

EDUCATION:
    Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
    Current, or eligible for, licensure with the Saskatchewan Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SASLPA).

EXPERIENCE:
    Two years or more experience working with individuals living with ASD preferred
    Some experience working with both preschool and adult populations preferred
    Some experience working with other sectors and service providers preferred
    Some experience working in a cross cultural, diverse environment would be an asset

    Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills
    Strong interpersonal and public relation skills
    Facilitation skills
    Critical thinking skills
    Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary or inter-sectoral team
    Ability to communicate and apply the methods and principles of speech-language pathology practice to and with individuals and caregivers
    Ability to adapt in diverse service delivery settings

OTHER:
    Must possess a valid drivers license
    Ability to travel on remote northern roads and fly in small aircraft to remote communit
