Description

KidsFirst is a voluntary program that supports families with children prenatal to age 3. The program is delivered using curriculum that enhances parenting knowledge, builds on family strengths and provides support. The program is a combination of home visiting services, referrals to other agencies, assisting with access to early learning and childcare opportunities and encouraging development of family support systems. It is culturally relevant, child centered, family focused, and strength based. Duties Include but are not limited to: Provide ongoing support services, work with Agencies, group programming, document on an ongoing basis. Preference will be given to the candidate who has a combination of the following: EC Certification and/or a SW Degree or equivalent experience and education. Ability to work independently & as a team member, maintain confidentiality & professionalism at all times, build partnerships & relate to families who are experiencing a high degree of stress & to work flexible hours. Knowledge in early childhood development, the strength-based approach, family dynamics & prevention strategies. Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication and computer skills, problem solving & critical thinking skills. Must possess a valid drivers license & a reliable vehicle. A CRC check with vulnerable sector check & drivers abstract must be submitted with the resume to be considered for an interview.
