Saskatchewan Infectious Disease Care Network (SIDCN), is a non-profit organization dedicated to improve the awareness, diagnosis and care of HIV and HCV (Hepatitis C) in Saskatchewan. As part of SIDCNs mission we provide clinical care in Saskatoon and in northern communities in the province, and conduct awareness and testing campaigns. Our clinic constantly strives to lower barriers for patients to access care, and do so through building relationships.
SIDCN is seeking a skilled Medical Office Assistant, who is a self-motivated multitasker, and who can adapt to a fast paced and changing environments quickly.
Working condition:
Monday Wednesday, 9am - 5pm.
Mask required and provided, Covid-19 vaccination a plus.
Responsibilities:
Performing reception duties
Updating patient records regularly
Performing patient check-in for consultation
Sanitizing waiting room and medical equipment
Electronic record management and transitioning paper records to a digital format
Communicating with other healthcare providers, labs, diagnostic service providers, and community health centers
Scheduling and confirming appointments, as well as reminding patients of their appointments
Preparing and mailing correspondence and medication
Perform billing
Maintaining medical supply and stationary inventory
Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Medical Administrative Assistant diploma
Experience with medical office software (Accuro), Microsoft office, and general office equipment
2 year previous experience working in a medical office, or 1 year medical office experience with an additional 1 year customer service experience in a non-medical environment
