Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc. (MLMP) is the world's first successful zero-effluent-discharge market pulp mill that is a state-of-the-art, chlorine-free bleached chemi-thermo mechanical pulp (BCTMP) facility. MLMP is one of six operating Paper Excellence Canada mills. We offer a safe, team focused, engaging non-union work environment and opportunities for training & development.

The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician (E/I) works as part of a team which maintains, troubleshoots, and optimizes the electrical and instrumentation and control systems in the mill.

Qualifications:
1) The ideal candidate will be a dual trade E/I journeyperson with experience in PLCs, Distributed Control Systems, analytical instruments, variable speed drives, control systems, high voltage systems, etc.  Applications will be considered for Red Seal Journeyperson Electricians with enough related experience and who are willing to indenture into an Instrumentation apprenticeship.

2) Electrical Technologists (Dip. T.) will be considered without a journeyperson ticket if they are willing to indenture into the Electrical/Instrumentation apprenticeships.

Responsibilities:
-Perform routine planned predictive and corrective E/I maintenance
-Plan E/I maintenance
-Investigate E/I technologies
-Troubleshoot, with other mill personnel, operational and maintenance issues
-Optimize process control to enhance mill operation
-Develop and implement reliability integrity strategies for E/I equipment

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
-Safety Systems and Safety Interlocks
-PLC and Distributed Control experience
-Process Control
-High Voltage
-Analytical Instrumentation
-SAP or other enterprise business software
-Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
