Description

RAM Industries Inc. is a leader in the design and manufacture of hydraulic cylinders and machined components for North American markets.

RAM requires a Territory Sales Representative to increase business from the development of new clients in the designated territory, as well as manage and maintain business from existing customers. The territory is Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northern Ontario.

RAMs core expertise applies 45 years of cylinder design and manufacturing experience to develop close working relationships with engineers, owners, and procurement teams of OEMs that require cylinders for their unique applications. RAM cylinders are used in a wide variety of applications and industries across North America including agricultural, forestry, mining, oil and gas, transportation, waste disposal, forestry, material handling and construction.
Ideally based within the Territory, the Sales Representative will be expected to maintain existing sales relationships to ensure steady and repeat business. The primary focus; however, will be to initiate, react, and manage new customer opportunities that ultimately result in new sales orders.
Preference will be given to applicants with a technical background or experience that provides them with a good understanding of machining and metal manufacturing. A basic understanding of hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic cylinder applications is required; RAM will provide additional training as it is imperative the Sales Representative can speak to customers at a basic technical level in order to credibly assess customer needs.
Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of experience in OEM sales, and be comfortable working with procurement specialists, engineers, owners and other decision makers within these organizations. The position requires extensive travel throughout the territory to successfully advance customer and prospect relationships.
