Description

This unique Senior Technologist role offers a mix of site office and field/project management for earthworks and capital projects ranging from $100,000 to $3M.

Reporting to the Site Supervisor you will provide leadership in managing projects from start to completion, and coordinating materials, equipment and labour to ensure project success.  

This position is available immediately due to a retirement  call today!

You will:
- Provide leadership and project management throughout all phases of projects. Review tender documents, complete cost estimates and schedules, and prepare bid submissions. Provide input into contracts/agreements, and interpret/evaluate drawings and designs for capital work.      
- Create and monitor project schedules, cost budgets and forecasting of final costs.
- Conduct pre-contract and contract review with clients. Work in collaboration with the Site Supervisor to manage priorities.
- Manage job sites and coordinate all resources including materials, equipment and labour.
- Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations and testing of construction materials.
- Provide construction supervision and ensure timely information, progress updates and communication.  
- Provide leadership and facilitation, negotiation and problem solving support as required to resolve issues, build consensus and align activities to accomplish project goals.  

A Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology is ideal.

Over 5 years experience in heavy civil construction, i.e. earthworks, etc.  

Knowledgeable on heavy equipment functions and capabilities.

Knowledge of GPS Machine Control, Autocad and surveying is preferred.
