Namaka Farms Inc is a family run farming operation which is in the process of developing a feedlot to compliment its grain farm outside of Outlook Saskatchewan. Over the next 8 months Namaka will be finalizing construction of the feedlot and plan to feed ~5,000 head of cattle by fall 2020/winter 2021.
Namaka is looking for employees that are interested in being a part of the feedlot/farm crew. Employees will be involved in the operation of the farm and feedlot, including construction of the feedlot. The intent is to get individuals involved with the process early, providing experience toward operation the farm. Over time it is the target to build the operation up to potentially 36,000 head of capacity.
Employees will be cross-trained on the various duties of the farm over time. The goal is to have a strong team of employees who are able to support one another. Some training at our existing facility in Strathmore, AB may take place.
While experience is appreciated, people without experience are also welcome. Namaka is comfortable with training people who have never been on a farm.
While the focus will be on construction of the facility up front the duties will consist of:
- Feeding and caring for the animal (including Pen Riding)
- Inducting and treating the cattle,
- Handling of cattle and riding of horses,
- General Maintenance of the facility,
- Planting, spraying and harvesting of crops,
- The operation and maintenance of equipment used in the above roles.
- Construction projects from time to time,
Namaka is looking for employees who are able to:
