Reporting to Production Supervisor for Paint/Saw/Weld, the Paint Prep Technician is responsible for working to ensure painted parts flow through the paint area in an efficient manner with a high degree of quality.



Education

Grade 12
Industrial Powder Coating an asset
Experience in a factory environment an asset
Core Competencies

Ability to focus on the job on hand
Ability to work as a member of a team

Dependable and reliable
Accountabilities

Chip any excess spatter and material off weldments
Remove paint marker from tubing
Sand parts
Organize parts in the planned order required by the Assembly Technicians
Hang parts in a consistent manner for the Painter      
Work Conditions

Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
Working in manufacturing plant environment
Some exposure to potentially hazardous environments requiring protective equipment
Employee may be exposed to dust, odors, fumes and high levels of noise at times
Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required
Exposure to temperature fluctuations
